The best care is to keep the leather clean and dry. You can use regular shoe wax. To obtain even better moisture protection, use leather cream or impregnating agent spray. Moisture protection prevents the leather to loose its shape and resist salt stripes. It also isolates cold. You should clean off dust, mud and other dirt after every use by shoe brush or damp cloth. Use special substances to clean off a tough dirt.

You have to spread conditioner substances to a clean and dry surface. Use a sponge or soft brush with round hand movements. Spread the shoe wax thickly between the outer sole and the upper.

You have to let traditional conditioner substances to dry from few minutes to 20 minutes. After that you can polish the surface with a soft woollen, flannel of cotton cloth.

You can also buy an instant polisher which needs no extra polishing. Do not use these products regularly if they contain silicon. The silicon might dry the leather too much and change the colour to grey.
